Since the start of June the children and educators in our 3-6 room have been working with Silje and Jac from Bee Naturally Young on our new garden project. Silje has been teaching us the knowledge and skills we need to have ensure we have a heathy garden and how to look after it.

In the first session we looked at the plan that Silje and Jac have designed for us and pictures of the different fruit and vegetables we will be growing.

Silje then helped us set up a worm farm. Each child had a turn at helping and we are mw feeding them. They are already producing some great worms we can use on our compost.

Our children are learning to connect and contribute to their world, developing a sense of belonging to the community, becoming socially responsible and showing resect for their environment.
